Servo Motors

SRS also repairs XYZ axis servo motors. Proper operation of servo motors is vital to positioning accuracy of both drilling and routing  to produce accurate parts.

We take the same care we use for spindles and apply that standard to servo motors.

Motors are disassembled, cleaned and inspected. Defective parts are identified for replacement.

Repair

Armatures are machined to obtain a smooth consistent surface for proper operation.

Electrical tests are performed to insure motor windings are good, high voltage tests are also performed at the same time. The same standards are applied to tach generators at the same time. This insures the motors will operate properly when installed at the customers site.

Assembly and Test

Servo motors are carefully assembled and put through a rigorous test program to insure long term operation and reliability. This includes a 48 hour continuous duty sequence. You can be assured your motor will run properly.
